What for?

The question this week is “why are we a congregation?  Why do we meet?”   So often, churches focus in on becoming a good church, and ensuring the future (so we think) by encouraging “young people” to come to church.  But why?  What’s a good church FOR?  Why are we a congregation in the first place?

Let us know what you think!

  1. The youth group must meet regularly and if Bill is away (ill) there should be arrangements for a substitute.
It is important to make new participants feel welcome or they will simply stop coming. It is so important that teens feel they belong.
Youth are important as are young families. It is hard to compete with soccer practice etc. I don’t know the answer to that situation. Teens love food, perhaps pizza gatherings or something similar.
